November 5th:
I just got an email message from Eric that Clipper-Dipper-Dawg died today. He was 12 years old.
He had cancer earlier this year that was operated on and he recovered well from that. Eric says he was fine until just a few days ago when the cancer came back and he went downhill fast.
He was such a good "monster", always happy, always full of energy. When we took him and my "monster" for walks in the foothills in their younger days, they would run up and down the hills 3 times for our walking it one time.
One time we were hiking in Donnelly and they both ran ahead and feasted on some freshly dropped very runny cow poop - cleaning up that mess was true love!

He and Pillow-dog were best friends - mention the name Willow and Clipper bounced up and down in excitement like a pogo stick.
One time we were camping on the banks of the Salmon (in Riggins) and at about 3:00am we hear Clipper crying. It was quite a task to find him in the pitch dark, with the crying echoing across the canyon, but we did finally find him - climbed up on an impossible cliff and not knowing how to get back down. Pillow-dog decided she would come to the rescue - she climbed up to that same spot and showed her friend the way down. They were best buddies.
Pillow will miss him. I will miss him. We all will.
