Anacortes

Oct 28-30:

He is just so cute!  The first thing he said to me as I walked in the door was that there were owls in the nearby pine trees ("Owl, Owl", while pointing to the trees), and that the moon comes up through the sliding glass doors ("moon, moon", pointing to the sky through the glass doors).

He followed me around (or was it the other way???) all throughout my stay.  His favorite thing to do was to have me read a book ("Booh, Booh").  So we read books many times each day.  He recognizes each of his ~20 books - the "color" book, the "night night" book, the "turtle" book (underwater creatures book), the "pop-pop" book (pop-up) etc.

We came across some duck calling whistles.  That morning he didn't know how to make them work, but by the afternoon, he not only knew how to blow, but also taught himself to suck on the wrong end to make noise.  Such a smart kid!!

Fort

The fort was another exciting spot in the house.  He had various toys in his fort.  He wanted me in there, but... the physics didn't work out!

Back yard leads to water and dock

Their back yard ends ends at the water with a boat dock and all - no surprise she calls it their piece of paradise!  We played with soap bubbles here.

On the dock

He scurries around very fast, like an "issa"... a prawn or shrimp.  In a 2 minute window when no one was paying attention, he sneaked in to the shower and turned the water on, fully clothed.  Mom decided that she might as well give him his bath.

He thought it fun to crawl under here

Nap time - I am proud that I was able to
make him fall asleep - not an easy task!
