Babysitting

Oct 11:
Babysitting the babies FRI night and SAT while the parents celebrate their anniversary...

Friday night's entertainment was building a house in the middle of the living room.  High excitement regarding how to build it and what to have in it etc.  The two siblings kept themselves entertained for a long time.

They both wanted to sleep with Nanda.  So, that is what we did - 3 in one bed.  Nanda didn't get much sleep, being crushed by one on each side.  But the kids had a good time.

At one point A hand over me and grabs a hand... says... "hmmm, this is a very soft hand, this must belong to E".  Then reaches over again and say... "this is a wrinkley hand, this must be Nanda's".  Hahahahaha!  Priceless!

Why has children's play remained the same since our time???

SAT one had a hip-hop class and I went to Wilson Park with the other.  The tree-climbing, puddle-stomping monkey got her hoes wet and dirty.  So, the hoe went in the wash as soon a we got home.

Cleaning out the beaver pond...  First it was
with a stick, and then later both hands up to
the elbows were in the mucky water!  But,
nothing that some soap and water couldn't
take care of.

This one was not easy!

SAT afternoon we made Halloween pumkins - they were taken to Mimi's and proudly displayed at their front doorstep.  The boy made a peacock - named it "pumpcock" for pumpkin peacock.  Also named it Maggie.  The girl made a 2 faced pumpkin - a smiley face on one side and a scary face on the other.

Two faced pumpkin - this is the happy face side
