Road Trip - Day 6 of 11

April 2nd:

We had not met Kanchi since he was in elementary school.  But he and Carla invited us to stay at their house for 2 nights.  How nice.

Kyle was especially inconvenienced from having to give up his room for us.  He was quite gracious about it - he slept on the living room floor - he set up his tent in the living room to make it more fun.

Dayani is passionate about her 3 dogs, especially the little one Buddy.  She shared her books and videos about dogs and dog training.  She also showed off her cool bedroom where dad has set up a loft on which is her bed - she has to climb a ladder to get to her bed.

We went to Sea World...  The 4 of us and Dayani.  It is nice that the kids are so friendly and comfortable around us.  And the dogs too - really sweet.

The first show we saw was the dog show - Dayani was very keen on seeing it - she loves dogs.  The show that I liked best was the one that was set to 70's and 80's songs and a somewhat large guy acted out the music video of each song.  He played both Olivia NJ and John T's parts in "You're the one that I want".  The best was when he did the blue light chair dance scene from Flashdance, and actually dumped some water on himself too.  Just hilarious.

At night I had a really nice visit and dinner with Tony Q.  It is always nice to see his smiling face.  He and the family seems to be doing well.  He was taking the day off to be a chaperon on his 4th grader's field trip.
