Aunty Kaly, Shanthi Akka

June 14th:

Saw Aunty Kaly and Hope Mama.  They are as happy and positive and bubbly as always.  They have a dog that they rescued from a sad place - she is very sweet - her name is Kalu - she is about 10 years old.  

We caught up on all the Guiding people that we knew from a long time ago.  She fed me, like she always used to about 40 years ago - this time it was kiri/pani, and pol toffees.  Such nice people!

She shares a house with a family that takes in sad animals.  They have 29 dogs and 2 monkeys.  The monkeys will be released to the wild once they get better.

Saw Shanthi Akka after a very very long time, and also Aiya.  The kids were not at home.  

They have a beautiful house - it is nice and cool inside, and there is a cute mada midula too.

One coconut tree had been badly impacted by the mini cyclone last week.  They are waiting for a guy from the woodworking shop to come cut it down and take it away.

Today is the first day in about 10 days, where we hadno rain some time during the day.  I washed a load of laundry.  My jeans dried in just one day!
