Today I saw the very popular local dessert - Ice Kacang ("c" pronounced as "ch") - red bean dessert. It has, among other things, shaved ive, syrup, sweet corn, red beans, vanilla ice cream.
I wasn't inspired to try it because I was a little "chicken" because I am afraid of getting ice from street vendors, and because the lady preparing it was slapping on beans and ice cream with her bare fingers... Maybe another time...
Dhammika Pu did have one and has lived to tell the tale, so in hind sight I really should have tried it...
