They Left

The three sisters

August 13th:

After a month of hangingout, taking walks, playing withthe dog, watching Tamil movies and HIndi movies, and cooking, and parties, Lochi and Pathi Mami left today.  The house is quiet now - I am in my room blogging, pup is napping, Chuki went home, not much activity from the others either - they might be napping too.

Last night was quite the opposite.  First Hajik came, and then I went over and brought the Punchi Kolla/Kella over, and we all went over to the park and played.  They Batu and family all came over, and then Chuki.  We had an impromptu pizza dinner at the house, and watched Sri Lanka pictures from our recent trip.  Quite a bit of bustle that evening.

Hajik stayed over and the three sisters had a sleep over at Lokka's house  :)   
Then this morning, the bags were packed, and we took Rattana's van and off we went to the airport.  I went all the way to the gate with them and stayed until they boarded the plane, while the rest of the troops went shopping at IKEA forsome stuff that Seleste wanted - but of course, they first had to have Swedish meatballs  :)

I caught the train to the IKEA and they picked me up at the train stop, and then off to the Beaverton Indian shop, where we got rusks (for sentimental reasons), Karavila, parippu, karapincha, MD chillie sauce, Maliban cream puffs, Leela's brand curry powder.  Then back home for more chatting and then everyone went home.  So, now it is very quiet - the household is resting.

Later in the evening:
Not very lively at all - no dinner preparation, not much conversation etc like it used to be for the last month.  Thaththo watching a cooking show (chopped) on TV, Ammi and I in the other room doing jigsaw puzzles on the internet, monster sitting by out feet.
