Steph's birthday - we boondoggled all the afternoon...
First - the present...
Her all-time favorite author is Sherman Alexie. She has read all his books and seen all his movies. She has a photo of her with him from when he visited Boise many years ago. So, the present was his latest book - Blasphemy.
Lunch:
We had lunch at Siam on the East side of town. They have great Thai food. Steph found exactly what she had in mind on the menu. Also, we got to sit by an elaborate dragon picture which was cool because Steph was born in the year of the dragon.
BAM:
There was a glass art exhibition by William Morris at the Art Museum, and that is where we went next. He makes complex glass jars/vessels/urns using glass blowing techniques.
No Movie: We were interested in seeing Anna Karenina, but the showtimes were too late in the afternoon - Steph had a hot date with her Honey in the evening :)

It was a such a nice day (blue skies, sunshine, temps in the high 20's) that we had to take a walk in the neighborhood. We checked out the Box's house during day time and then walked along the stream. Ducks came up to us expecting treats. We walked by Mary's old street.

Those were the birthday festivities until Steph went out to dinner with Paul.
