The Day of the Remembrance

March 23rd:

View from kitchen window

Beautiful day - better day than yesterday.  The sun is out - Rainier is out - yeay!

The making of a masterpiece

Katie W made her world famous, wonderful, better-than-any-other-you-have-ever-had fruit salad. She is not shy to say it is better than her mother's and better than mine :)  (And it is true!).

The masterpiece!!!!

Took Daisy to Aveda for a hair appt. The hair-lady, a former coworker at the coffee company, said she is going to make Daisy look pretty.  I thanked her for her efforts - haha - lame joke, but we all had a good laugh :)  They had the most interesting door at the hair salon - pock marked and painted silver - I had to take a picture.

The remembrance event was good - there were tons of people - and several of them spoke of exciting times and fond memories of Eric G.  Katie's slide tribute was awesome - seeing it for the second time I cried again!  Daisy played the piano as a tribute to him and then we had a moment of silence. The whole ceremony was very beautiful, a nice tribute to Eric and a good way for everyone to find some peace.

Afterwords, Daisy treated us to dinner. Chee Wai ordered the food - it truly hit the spot :)
